Name, Image, Likeness (NIL)

The NCAA has adopted this very permissive legislation, but has not offered stringent regulations and in most cases, defers to state laws and high school association rules.

Assistance in navigating through the many nuances of regulations which now permit high school and intercollegiate athletes to monetize their name, image, and likeness.

Ensuring that your team members do not make errors which could affect future eligibility.

Learn from professionals who are very knowledgable with the NIL either by serving as consultants or through their work as Division 1 athletes administrators.

Questions will be answered at the end of the presentations and attendance will be limited.


Connie Hurlbut

Connie Hurlbut has been a staff member of the West Coast Conference since February 2017 where she serves as Senior Associate Commissioner/Senior Woman Administrator. Her responsibilities as Commissioner include overseeing the day-to-day operations relating to governance, compliance, and NCAA institutional relations. Along with being the Senior Woman Administrator, she gives support to the Presidents’, Executive Councils, and various head coaches’ groups. In 2019-2022 she served as Tournament Director for the WCC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournament. Connie earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania, and she currently lives in San Francisco with her husband Steve, son Jack, and daughter Maggie.

Richard Kent

Richard Kent is a Phi Beta Kappa, Summa Cum Laude graduate of Rutgers College and a graduate of Boston College Law School. He was a litigator for 40 years and is now an NIL expert, sports lawyer and professor at Manhattanville College and Fairfield University.

Ed Kull

Edward M. Kull has served as the Director of Athletics at Fordham since February 2021. He oversees a division of more than 100 coaches and staff, 500 student-athletes, 22 varsity teams, along with the University’s club and intramural teams. Kull started at Fordham in 2017 with more than 14 years of experience in sports marketing, business development, higher education fundraising and athletic development. He is a SUNY Stony Brook and St. John’s University alumni. His career began at St. John’s University in athletic sales, marketing, and promotions, eventually leading to Associate Athletic Director. Kull is a Queens native and working towards receiving his doctorate in Educational Leadership at St. John’s University.

The NHSCA is the conduit to being the best high school coach possible or assisting in exploring a new professional challenge in athletics.

Will be of great assistance for not only professional growth, but for the welfare of the students you interact with every day.

Linda is an account executive for Fastlane, and also the founder of Bruno Sports Enterprises. She served as commissioner of the Atlantic 10 Conference for 14 years and as an associate commissioner of the Big East Conference for 12.

Bobby Ferraro

Bobby Ferraro

Bobby is the Executive Director for the NHSCA since 2008 and was promote to CEO in 2017. He has coaching experiences in all levels.

Ferraro had worked in the retail industry for the Sheetz family as a category manager and prior to that for RaceTrac Petroleum as a special projects manager, marketing manager and personnel manager over consecutive years.


Alissa Villalba-Hasson

Alissa is a Marketing & PR Associate for Fastlane where she helps develop, manage and implement integrated marketing and communications campaigns for key accounts. In her role, she works with a cross-section of Fastlaners to design and execute growth-oriented programs to help our valued clients and strategic partners reach their short- and long-term business objectives.
